Programs:

  • Get Advice - At Get Advice, you can send out an anonymous question to the other guys using the site. Your question will be sent to 20 individuals that have said they would like to help answer questions like this. Those 20 guys will be able to read your question and see your age and nickname only. They will then respond and you can read their responses in the bottom half of the page of "Get Advice" by clicking on the number of responses to each question you submitted. All questions and responses are subject to approval. If you would like to stay in contact or seek further advice from someone in particular that answered your question, you can send them a message privately using the message system. You just need to know their nickname. There are Sample Questions with responses to help give you an idea of how this works.
  • Give Advice - At Give Advice, you have the ability to answer the questions that others have submitted. You have to be signed up for this service. Anyone can sign up by going to "My Profile" and selecting Yes to "Send other members' problems to me for response?" At My Profile you can also choose to be emailed a notice when someone requests your advice. You can then come to "Give Advice" and there will be a list of questions with a box below each one. You can read the question and type in your answer below it. You do not have to answer every single question before submitting your responses. If you leave one blank, it will be there next time you login. If you do not want to answer a question, you can mark it so and it will be deleted from your questions to answer. You can also answer a question anonymously. No information will be given about you to the person who asked the question. Otherwise, your nickname appears with your response. All responses are subject to approval.
  • One on One - One on One is our way of describing the help that you can get by being assigned to one mentor to help you as you keep track of your progress in overcoming an obstacle, usually an addiction. There are three ways to keep track of your progress and your mentor in the One on One program will be able to see what you enter into all three. You'll be asked to identify a long term goal. That is what you want to change in your life and it applies throughout all three One on One programs. You can then select to set goals and keep track of your progress, identify what leads up to sin, and learn how to take ownership of the decision that you're making to change. If you have questions, send a message to "Saged."
  • Discussion Groups - Discussion Groups are created so that individuals can get together with others that are struggling with the same things and talk about positive ways of dealing with it. We do not talk about problems, only solutions. Discussion groups are each assigned a moderator that leads weekly discussions, often dealing with ways of overcoming temptation. Discussion group members can also create their own topics and seek advice or input of other group members. These are called Discussion and Issues. After you have joined a group, it will show up in a list of "Active Programs." Below the name of the group will be Issues and Discussion.
    • Issues - Issues are basically questions or topics of discussion that are sent from one group member to the rest of the group. Click on Issues under your group name and you will be able to see all of the issues that have been created by individual members. You can respond to their issues, create an issue of your own and read the responses of other group members to issues.
    • Discussion- Discussions are weekly topics created by a moderator. They often involve reading material. To participate, simply click on Discussion below your group name. Discussion topics from previous weeks will be listed. Click on the discussion topic where you would like to participate. You will be able to read the moderator's entry and any group members' responses to that entry. A link at the top of the page will take you to any outside source that has information about the topic, possibly reading material or an MP3. You can type your response to the topic and submit it. You can continue to respond to the same topic many times.

Though not considered a program, you also have "My Profile" where you can upload information about yourself and even pictures if you would like. You can change your information, birthday, and password. At My Profile, you can also select if you would like to answer questions that other site members send out for advice. You can also select which email alerts you would like to receive. You can use the message system to contact any other user on the site. All you need to know is their nickname. The nickname of other site users is given when you give advice to them, get advice from them, or are a member of a discussion group with them. By clicking on their nickname, you can view their profile and add them as a friend.
